How this works

01

Grounded in this site

The assistant answers from curated pages on this site (definition, science, applications, research, market) — not the open internet.

02

Citations on every claim

Inline [section-id] chips link to the source page on this site. If a claim has no citation, treat it as background.

03

Reviewed and improved

Conversations are sampled to spot weak answers, missing sources and off-scope questions. The underlying pages get updated; the assistant improves with them.

Moderation & privacy

How questions get reviewed

  • Automatic guardrails. The assistant is instructed to refuse diagnosis, dosing and emergency questions, and to redirect to a clinician.
  • Human spot-checks. A sample of conversations is reviewed periodically. If an answer was wrong, misleading or strayed off-scope, the underlying page is corrected and the assistant retrained against the updated source.
  • No personal-health intake. Don't share names, contact details, photos of wounds or patient records. If you do, we won't use them — but the safer path is not to send them.
  • Local history. Your conversation is stored in your browser only (localStorage). Clearing it ends the session. "New conversation" deletes it on your device.
  • Report a bad answer. If something is incorrect or unsafe, please contact us with the question and answer. Corrections are credited.

Frequently asked

Is this medical advice?+

No. The assistant is an educational reference grounded in published sources. It is not a substitute for advice from a clinician, pharmacist or wound-care specialist. See the full medical disclaimer.

Who runs this site and writes the answers?+

MedicalGradeHoney.com is an independent editorial site, not affiliated with any honey brand or manufacturer. The site is curated by a non-clinician editor who summarises peer-reviewed literature, regulator documents and ISO standards. The assistant draws from those summaries.

Where do the answers come from?+

Only from pages on this site (the curated reference material). The assistant does not browse the open web. Every substantive claim should carry a [section-id] citation that links back to the source page.

What if the assistant gets something wrong?+

It happens. Please report it via the contact page with the question and the answer. We'll correct the underlying page, credit the correction, and the assistant will improve with the updated source.

Can it recommend a brand or product for me?+

No. The site names brands for educational and comparative purposes only. The assistant won't tell you which product to buy or use; that decision belongs with you and your clinician.

Can I ask about off-label or veterinary use?+

You can ask, and the assistant will summarise what published literature says — flagged as off-label or investigational where relevant. It will not advise you to apply an off-label use to a real case.

Is my question stored on a server?+

Messages are sent to the AI provider to generate the answer and are kept in your browser's local storage for your own session. They are not published, not tied to your identity by us, and a sample is reviewed only to improve the reference content.

What languages does it answer in?+

Primarily English, since the source material is in English. It will attempt other languages but quality and citation accuracy are best in English.

Why did it refuse to answer?+

The assistant is instructed to refuse questions outside medical grade honey, requests for diagnosis or dosing, and anything that resembles an emergency. Rephrase as a general/educational question, or contact a clinician for clinical decisions.
